Our innovative bridging courses offer the perfect launchpad for learners are passionate about music and media, or who dream of turning your creative spark into a fulfilling career, but are unsure of commitments or about whether they want to go all the way. Our bridging course credits can be counted towards the Vocational Training Programme in Music and Media Programme (VTPMM) while equipping you with essential skills required in the industry. For those who decide to move ahead with the more advanced VTPMM Programme thereafter, our instructors will work hand in hand with you to make it happen!

- Digital Audio Fundamentals: Gain a solid understanding of audio technology and software.
- Basic Music Theory and Composition: Develop your understanding of musical structure and create your own music.
Description
This course introduces trainees to live performance, equipping them with instrumental and ensemble skills necessary for inclusive ensemble participation. Trainees gain experience performing to small audiences, receiving constructive feedback for ongoing improvement. They learn to prepare performance elements and evaluate their own performances based on feedback. Developing skills to respond to feedback is emphasized for continual growth as performers. Additionally, trainees get to explore the sound recording process, learning to develop and execute recording plans independently.

It incorporates opportunities to perform for one another in a safe environment, thus building up an individual’s self confidence and esteem. With the integration of recording aspect, trainees are able to playback their performance for self evaluation and self reflection.
Course Objectives
This customised course crafted for Persons with Disabilities aims to:
- develop their instrumental and ensemble skills so as to enable them to perform music in a live environment,
- develop their skills to plan, set up and record a piece of music in a home studio setting.

Requirements
- Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
- Open to Singaporean citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents.
- Individuals with mild intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, are encouraged to apply.
- An interest in music and media is essential.
- Although not mandatory, students with prior experience in any musical instruments are welcome.
- All applications are subject to assessment to determine suitability of placement.

Trainers

Our trainers for the bridging courses are highly qualified professionals with extensive expertise in their respective fields. They have undergone specialised training to be able to teach PWDs, and are dedicated to creating an inclusive learning environment that empowers persons with disabilities to discover and develop their unique talents and interests.
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
1. What is the eligibility to join this programme?
We welcome participants who have ASD or multiple mild intellectual disabilities including ASD.

2. If I have a physical disability, can I join?
At this moment, we are not able to include individuals with severe physical disability. However, all cases will be seen on a case to case basis, so if you are unsure, simply contact us.
3. Will participants get to pick the instrument they want?
We will expose participants to the various instruments listed in each course (depending on the course).
4. Participant is non-verbal. Can he/she join this programme?
If participant is non-verbal, we would need him/her to be able to understand instructions.
Simply reach out to us, our team will reply to find out more on how we can best communicate.
5. What if the trainer(s) cannot manage the participant?
Our trainers are equipped to handle a range of neuro-divergent individuals from moderate/severe to high-functioning. If the participant might be triggered by certain situations or things, please highlight these to us so that we can work together to create a conducive environment for them.
7. Do caregivers have to follow the participant to his/her session?
Following to his/her session is not compulsory, and we also encourage participants to learn independence.

Participants may be required to attend at least a minimum % of the Programme. Please check each course’s page for details.
